About the Event

The Moon Hounds were born between the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Georgia and the Austin Hill Country of Central Texas, and have transported their smoky, spicy sound across the seas. Like a fresh batch of jambalaya, this Sydney-based quartet’s sound is a loaded concoction of blues, folk, soul, roots, and alt-country that’s delivering a spicy new edge to the local scene – with an added dashing of psychedelic rock for good measure.

Their vibe is relaxed yet resolute; their sound rootsy yet rough. Cemented around the gritty vocal etchings of Texan native Dave Parker, a Moon Hounds set grooves, roars, and howls through a collection of tracks designed to invoke change of attitude and greater social awareness, against a party backdrop
