About the Event

You may have seen him as an acrobatic flash across the screen in the hit film Moulin Rouge, or one of the first aerial performers to cross the stadium in the Sydney Olympics opening ceremony.

Since then Ben Noir, singer, actor, acrobat and cabaret performer, has performed all over the world.

His foray into all things French began with request to sing a Piaf song for his grandfather on Bastille Day 14th July 2002. Two years living in French speaking Switzerland where he performed in the Fete de la Musique in Lausanne, resulted in lingual fluency and an invitation to perform in Jazz clubs in Paris in 2011.

Possessed of a resonant, powerful yet poignant voice, an extraordinary vocal range and a performance style that crosses many genres, his audience is assured of being a part of a unique experience that resonates, amuses and entertains whether performing French music, jazz and contemporary standards or even singing on occasion poised in a handstand!
